Nazara Lazaro
Nazara is a sculptor based in Berlin. Through objects and interiors, she seeks to transform spaces, while using intuition to experiment with different materials.
Born and raised in Tenerife, Nazara has explored many foreign countries, which influenced her work, before settling in Berlin. After studying in Madrid, she spent almost two years exploring Japan and their traditional woodwork. Inspired by the story of the Silk Road, she decided to return to Europe by land and traveled across China and central Asia. The rituals, traditions, patterns and people she encountered along this journey helped her develop a personal design language.
Throughout her practice, Nazara has come to realize that she she can create limitless variations of the most striking ideas. The use of 3D modeling software became her starting point when bridging the physical and the intangible in her work. To advance her research on form and materiality, she established HENADS, a creative practice focused on creating immersive virtual settings with a human-made sensitivity. In her quest to bridge the tangible and intangible, Nazara continues to push boundaries and redefine the possibilities of sculptural design.
