Johanna Dumet
Johanna is self-taughT painter based in Berlin. She is known for her spontaneous, fluid technique and play with figures.
Painting impulsively, with a strong sense of flow, and without constraint Johanna experiments with vivid, dramatic colors on expansive canvases. Instead of focusing only on details, her work is a high level view of experiences, moments, memories or feelings. Through these deeply personal paintings Johanna has built a strong community that can relate to her and her art.
Johanna's first interest within the creative field was fashion, due to her interest in color, materials and textures. She pursued this career as a way of self-expression but soon realized that her true language was painting and decided to devote herself to it full-time. Her studio is located in the Wilhelm Hallen, where she and her partner, fellow artist and sculptor, Manuel Wroblewski, are sharing their passion for art and creation.
