Ana Barboza Gubo
AnA is a Peruvian multidisciplinary artist based in Lima.
Ana utilizes handcraft techniques such as embroidery, knitting, and patchwork. Recently she has started experimenting with a new medium, photography, which is integrated into her works.
Ana's practice explores the natural fibers and pigments, connecting them to the original land and ancestors. She recreates landscapes and other natural elements while disrupting the physical limits of the frame placing the works in-between tapestry and sculpture.
