How do you define your creation?

Los Objetos Decorativos (LOD) aims to create a collection of lifestyle elements that are present on the daily scene. The essence of the project is to keep on creating elements through the exploration of new materials and contemporary techniques, relying on artisanal production.

Through every project LOD tries to design elements that convey specific values or feelings to those who want to connect with them, providing the aesthetic vision of the moment in which the creator is. The project itself purposes to build a concrete language between object and individual where the organic component integrates and becomes the essence of the communication.

‘It is an honour and I feel very privileged of the present moment that we are living, for the support and the diffusion of the content created by women.’

What it's like to be an artist woman nowadays?

It is an honour and I feel very privileged of the present moment that we are living, in the sense of the support and the diffusion of the content created by women. This makes you gain confidence and feel that your message connects with the rest, which I think is very valuable.

How do you contribute to shape the future?

With my project I try to show that it is possible to create elements that preserve the techniques of artisan creation, produced by people close to the place where I live, in an ethical and sustainable way. I think this is a way to preserve these production methods and obtain products that we really connect with and that we value.

Who is your biggest Muse?

I don't know if I can say that she is my biggest Muse, but right now if I think of a woman who inspires me and makes me feel identified with her style and work I would say the Amarican ceramist Betty Woodman (1930–2018). I find her creations very spontaneous and full of life, her use of shapes and colors is so special. She understood creation as part of her life and her day to day life. I would like to be able to do it as well for the rest of my life.
