Lotte van Raalte
Lotte van Raalte is a Dutch director and photographer, driven to portray human and nature in its most authentic and free state of being.
“Guerreras”, (warrior women) is Lotte’s debut short film, a hypnotic journey through body and mind, human and earth, silence and scream, pain and hope, ego and humility, disorder and harmony. A reflection of what Lotte stands for and has just premiered at Porto Femme International Film Festival.
BODY
Over the course of 16 months, Lotte van Raalte photographed 46 women, aged 13 to 94, in their most natural form. It resulted in her first photography book, ‘BODY’ and part of the photos was exposed at Fotografiska NYC and Stockholm during 2021 .
BODY is a documentation of the observant photographer’s encounters with these women – a celebration of individuality, life and the beauty found in both vulnerability and strength. An ode to the female body.
